The Milan season closed with the sense that although many designers had focused too much on rock ‘n roll for their shows, the clothes presented important new trends. The slim suit, based on fashion in England at the time of the Beatles, was dramatically updated. And by changing the proportions of pants and jackets, designers should appeal to a new generation. Mixing tailoring with sporty pieces was also a strong trend, exceptionally well done at Burberry.
